Erica Lord has over 15 years of experience in handling cases from a wide variety of practice areas, including personal injury, employment law, family law, divorce, and criminal law. Having grown up surrounded by attorneys, she was fortunate enough to see from a young age exactly what it means to be a lawyer. As a Charleston, WV attorney, Erica Lord devotes much of her free time to helping children as much as she can. One of her passions is helping support the local March of Dimes, Ronald McDonald House, and the West Virginia Child Advocacy Center. She is a native West Virginian and a mother, and has dedicated her life to providing compassionate legal counsel to the Kanawha County area.

A History of Excellence

Ms. Lord served as a Kanawha County Assistant Prosecutor from 2009-2014. While working as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, she handled a wide range of criminal matters ranging from juvenile cases to murder cases. In addition to these responsibilities, Ms. Lord also served on the Kanawha County Juvenile Drug Court Treatment Team. Her legal career in private practice consisted of wide ranging legal experiences, such as arguing cases before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals, appearing regularly in circuit court and family court, and representing clients in abuse and neglect proceedings. The knowledge gained during her diverse legal career is hugely beneficial to her clients.
